Sneak Peak & New Services!
First is a sneak peak of Jessica & Zack's engagements!! This wonderful couple were a referral from Kina & Kyle who were married last November. They were SO fun to photograph! I can't wait for their spring wedding!! :D
Second piece of wonderful news: I am now offering photography family sessions for individuals and children with disabilities. I have photographed over 20 families with children with autism for a autism awareness exhibit that will be beginning in February at the Harris Fine Arts Center in Provo, Utah. More information to come on that soon. At this time it is the regular price of family portraits.

Becca & Michael: Houston, Texas 10/9/10
I absolutely LOVED capturing the story of Becca and Michael's Wedding in Houston, Texas. The wedding was originally in Utah but when it was moved out to Texas Becca thought she need to find a photographer in Texas to stay in the budget. However, after shopping for quotes in Texas she spoke to me about travel packages. She found that it was a better deal to have a photographer (and videographer) from Utah fly out than to hire someone from Texas. I couldn't be more thrilled!
I flew out the day before the wedding with Sara, the amazing videoographer from Camelot Studios. It was so much fun to be there for all the "behind the scenes" that conspire before the wedding and on the wedding day. I photographed everything from flower arrangements being made to table clothes being ironed- all the small things that I never get to capture. I even had the privilege of photographing Becca and her family outside the temple after she went through the temple the night before. It was great to get to know the family so well.
The wedding day had perfect wedding weather- mid 80s, low humidity (I heard this was not normal), and blue skies. I throughly enjoyed the break from cold Utah. The reception was well planned and the little details made it wonderful. Homemade jam made by the happy couple were the wedding favors and the cupcake tiered "cake" was a hit! I am so happy I was able to be apart Becca and Michael's special day.

Sneak Peak of my Weekend
I had an amazing and busy weekend photographing two weddings and doing an additional shoot for a project on Autism Awareness (many posts about this project to come soon).
The first wedding on Friday was at the LDS Draper Temple. I felt this temple really fit with Amy's style because the architecture and style of the building facade is more modern and Amy's wedding had a very modern style. Her reception at the Blue Lemon in Highland had a chic look that Amy enhanced with her decorations. I loved documenting this fun day!
The second wedding was on Saturday at the Holy Trinity Church - a Greek Orthodox Church in Salt Lake City. The ceremony was a gorgeous small ceremony with a total of seven people including the bride, groom, and priest! I loved the intimate feel that remind me of my own wedding (my husband and I only had 8 guests at our wedding ceremony). It was the first greek wedding I have ever seen. The church is beyond gorgeous! The architecture, stain glass and paintings are stunning works of art produced by the finest craftsmen. Some of the materials of the building were imported from Italy and add to the character and beauty of this exquisite building. I felt close to God through my experience there.
Enjoy these teasers until I edit more of the photos!

Sneak Peak of my first birth story!
This was a wonderful experience!!! The mother called me Saturday night around 7pm to tell me she was in labor. I grabbed my equipment and quickly drove up to her house. Her son was born into the arms of his father at their home at 1am Sunday morning. It was a beautiful birth that I was so honored to document. More (modest) photos to come!

My favorite photograph!
When Candace and I spoke just days before her bridal session I mentioned the possibility of using some props that go with the theme of her wedding (her wedding had a undertone of Tim Burton style). She brought a box of props and I brought an old antique chair and we had a blast!! It was so fun to work with props and produce photographs that had a story behind them in addition to the standard shots. I have decided that I need to do themed photography shoots more often! The session go so much better, the images are more fun and we just have a blast!! Here is my absolute favorite shot from Candace & Todd's session. I worked with the colors to set the mood of the photograph and I have to say, I love the results. Enjoy and check back soon for the rest of their beautiful wedding!
Payton's Newborn Portraits
This little girl was such an angel it made me want a baby!! Then luckily she started crying and I was brought back to reality. haha But seriously she was great to work with!! She is ADORABLE and I just want to eat up these photographs! I saw a baby wrap on some newborn portraits from Jessica Kettle Photography and fell in love with it!! So my amazing sister croqueted it for me and this was the first chance I had to use it. I love it!!
