Becca & Michael: Houston, Texas 10/9/10

I absolutely LOVED capturing the story of Becca and Michael's Wedding in Houston, Texas. The wedding was originally in Utah but when it was moved out to Texas Becca thought she need to find a photographer in Texas to stay in the budget. However, after shopping for quotes in Texas she spoke to me about travel packages. She found that it was a better deal to have a photographer (and videographer) from Utah fly out than to hire someone from Texas. I couldn't be more thrilled!

I flew out the day before the wedding with Sara, the amazing videoographer from Camelot Studios. It was so much fun to be there for all the "behind the scenes" that conspire before the wedding and on the wedding day. I photographed everything from flower arrangements being made to table clothes being ironed- all the small things that I never get to capture. I even had the privilege of photographing Becca and her family outside the temple after she went through the temple the night before. It was great to get to know the family so well.

The wedding day had perfect wedding weather- mid 80s, low humidity (I heard this was not normal), and blue skies. I throughly enjoyed the break from cold Utah. The reception was well planned and the little details made it wonderful. Homemade jam made by the happy couple were the wedding favors and the cupcake tiered "cake" was a hit! I am so happy I was able to be apart Becca and Michael's special day.

Houston Wedding

Ah the joys of traveling!! I absolutely LOVED flying out and spending the weekend shooting Rebecca & Michael's wedding. It was so fun and a nice break from cold Utah. The weather was beautiful and a warm 87 degrees. They also had Sarah from Camelot Studios fly out for the wedding video. Oh we had way too much fun shooting together! I don't want to hurt the other wedding videographers feelings, but she is my favorite.

Becca & Michael originally were going to get married in Utah. When the wedding was moved to Texas, they discovered that SAVED THEM MONEY to fly me out there rather than to hire a photographer in Texas. My prices are just that competitive!! So if you think you can't afford a photographer for your wedding think again! Call to set up a consultation and we will chat about how to make your wedding memories beautiful. (801) 577-4400

We had a ton of fun!! Here is a sneak peak from their wedding. I will defiantly be posting more soon so check back!

The First Wedding to Make Me Cry

Benjamin & Heather: June 12th, 2010

Benjamin and Heather. Wow what can I say about them? They are the type of couple that you can just tell will be happy together forever. They are both wonderful people with great personalities. I just adore both of them. Heather and I became friends through this whole adventure and I know that they both have the mind set and the willingness to make their marriage not only work- but be a great marriage.

This wedding was a beautiful and happy occasion- as all weddings should be! But I did tear up when I saw heather's bouquet. Amidst the gorgeous flowers were two photographs. One was of her late father and the other was her late sister. Her Aunt had put it together for her as a surprise. I was so touched by this beautiful express of love and family that I really did tear up. Now, I know that everyone does not share religion or beliefs. But this seemed even more significant to me because they were getting married in a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Members of the LDS faith believe that you can be sealed to your family forever and be with them in the next life. What a wonderful blessing for Heather and Benjamin!

Now that I am tearing up again I will conclude this post. Please enjoy the photographs and as always, feel free to leave a comment.
